Head Coach Gary Cook
Coach Cook has a long and distinguished career in coaching that spans 4 decades. He has been a head football coach at the high school level for 22 years in Michigan and Arizona, and 4 years at Phoenix College. He has experience as the offensive and defensive coordinator at small colleges as well. During his time in Michigan, he was named as the Coach of the Year for the state.
Adam Callado - Defensive Coordinator and LB Coach
Coach Callado played football throughout his elementary and high school years. His coaching experience includes coaching youth league for 3 years and high school for two years as the defensive line coach and an additional year as the JV defensive coordinator.
Josh Clouse - Secondary Coach
Coach Clouse has coached for 11 seaons at the high school level; all at CHS. He spent 7 years at the JV level and 4 years at the varsity level. He is also an alumni coach as his high school career was at Coconino. He has been married to his wife Sara for 22 years and they have 4 children.
Jeremiah Smith - Receivers Coach
Coach Smith has experience coaching at both of our local high schools. He spent time from 2003-2009 as either the JV or Varsity head coach at Flagstaff High School before working at Coconino. He spent time in the JV program before becoming the head coach from 2014-2017. His coaching experience is backed by his playing experience. He played multiple sports at Southeast High School in Yoder, Wyoming before playing in college. He has earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from NAU. Coach Smith has been married for 18 years and has two children.
Cayden Fordyce - OL and DL Coach
Coach Fordyce is no stranger to Coconino. He played 4 years as a lineman for the Panthers and then continued his football career at south Dakota School of Mining and Technology. This is his second year coaching for his high school alma mater. Coach Fordyce's main job is the installation of fire suppression systems in northern Arizona.
Todd Flores - OL and STC Coach
Coach Flores is another familiar name in the Flagstaff community. He is a graduate of Coconino, class of 1986 and was a multi-sport athlete, playing football, baseball and his most beloved sport, wrestling. He has coached football at multiple levels in the community for 11 years.
Eddie Zepeda - Receiver and DB Coach
Coach Zepeda has some idea of what it takes to make it to the state championship level as that is what he did with the Prosser Mustangs while being a 4-year varsity player. He has one year of coaching experience prior to joining the Coconino coaching staff.
Justin Jensen - TE and LB Coach
Coach Jensen is from Western South Dakota when he played football at Black Hills State University while graduating with a degree in business. He is a Flagstaff business owner with youth team coaching experience. He is beginning his second year of coaching at Coconino.
Mike Thompson - Head Coach
Coach Thompson was born and raised in Flagstaff, graduating from Flagstaff High School. He is currently a teaching at Coconino and has coached football at the school for 16 years.
Derek Goodman - Assistant Head Coach
Coach Goodman is a Flagstaff native as well, graduating from Sinagua High school, where he played football and track. He has been married to his lovely wife for 15 years and has four kids. He has been a coach at Coconino since 2018.
Travis Stiegler - Coach
Coach Stiegler is a native of Phoenix where he played youth and high school football as a quarterback. He is a US Army Veteran who has been married for 22 years and has 4 children. He has coached youth in soccer, flag football and tackle football for 10 years. He is currently a physician and owner of Stiegler Osteopathic Balance and Restoration.
Travis Craig - Strength Training Coach
Coach Craig is a graduate of Northern Arizona University, earning his Bachelor's degree in Fitness and Wellness and is a pain-free performance specialist. He played 4 years of high school football in Alaska and works as a personal trainer.
